Unique networking products for a home network

home network

The turbulent development that Internet technologies have caused surely had and continue to have great impact on all of us. Just a while ago we were hardly getting a grip on connecting our computers with a dial-up connection and today we have come to the point where only pushing a button on our laptops is what separates us from using internet services. And as most services and products are getting their online recognition, setting up a home network seems like an inevitable task in order to cope with the new way of life. But setting up a home network demands purchasing different networking products from different brands that you need to integrate in one reliant and working system. So far, WI-F has been a dominant wireless technology that has been vastly improved with new optic fibre products achieving even 3 to 6 time faster internet. However, new technology conventions always surprise with all kinds of new network products and technologies that surpass our expectations. Such are the ones that we’ll describe in the next few paragraphs.

WiGig

WiGig is among the newest wireless systems that has been presented this year. WiGig is not very impressing in its characteristics because it is meant to cover 60 Hz range. This means that the frequencies it emits don’t cover large area and is made only for home usage. The main function of WiGig is to connect nearby devices for mutual integration such as a computer with a TV, an Xbox with a TV, a tablet with a PC, etc. All these networking products can be connected through WiGig without having to plug in optic fibre products and devices.

Wireless HD

Similar to WiGig, Wireless HD is a system that is solely focused in creating connections between portable networking products and TV screens or projectors. Few manufacturers have adopted this technology and are working on their own versions of this innovative device. These manufacturers have announced that new chips will be developed for mobiles and other devices that will allow integration with any video streaming gadget.

G. hn

Unlike the two previous technologies, G. hn can cover all wired media in your house. It is not just a wireless system but a kind of a controller for all devices using only one power source and some optic fibre products and wiring. This system is based on the International Telecommunication Union standards but it is yet to be released as a complete product. Hence, it is in a testing stage for many other devices and it is a matter of time when we’ll be able to convect it to other networking products.
